  • Nobody wants to have to deal with a broken freezer or fridge, so props to ACME Sub Zero Repair company for making the process as quick and painless as possible. Used them about two years ago when our Sub Zero fridge wasn't getting cold (but the freezer was still working) - they replaced the control board right away. this time our ice maker was broken. Left a message over a weekend, got a call back on Monday and an appointment scheduled for the next day. Technician Alex took one look, determined we needed to replace the ice maker, and installed a new one in less than 40 minutes. I have no idea if the prices are competitive with other businesses, but seemed reasonable and they waive the $65 fee just to come out and investigate the problem if you end up paying the labor to do the repair (which is of course, usually more money, but it is what it is). let's hope our fridge doesn't have any more issues, but if it does, we will call ACME SUb Zero Repair people.   • Awesome. I don't leave reviews much, but this was the best experience possible. I called less than 3 hours ago and he has already fixed my Sub-Zero refrigerator and is on the way to the next job. Seriously a 1.5 hour wait from my call until he was at the door, 45 minutes later it was fixed. On top of that, tech Alex was a really nice guy, was happy to explain all the things he was working on, offered a very fair price, and even came up to my condo carrying all the parts he ended up needing (the control board goes bad on my model of refrigerator, and I guess he knew it was a common issue).     broke over the weekend. I called ACME Sub-Zero Repair Monday morning at 10 am and they were able to schedule an appointment for the same day. Den was the tech that came and was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a defrost issue. Within 1 hour, he had defrosted the freezer and put in a new part he had in his truck.   • I have used these guys for over 10 years, initially to service some seriously out of date kitchen and house appliances but later to recommend and handle some appliance repair/ replacements. They were the only ones who were familiar with and serviced a 16 year old refrigerator and wine cooler that was in the house when I moved in. I have also used them for emergency appliance replacements in rental units ans they always have solutions to my problems. They are excellent as they always send technicians who know what they're doing or are honest and will follow up when they don't. I have a very difficult time dealing with service people but I wholeheartedly recommend these folks and have never had a problem. Most companies have technicians and sales people that are all too interested in taking your money and delivering very little after the sale service or send folks who appear to have very little experience. Called as soon as he opened on Saturday morning and Gerry was at our place in a couple of hours. Kept us updated by text message. Diagnosed the problem and had things working again in short order.   • I was impressed with the service I received from Sub-Zero Appliance. Within an hour and a half of my calling them a repairman arrived, with toolkit in hand, ready immediately to get to work and fix my ailing refrigerator. The machine was over ten years old and had served me well. But lately the inside light hasn't been working properly and the temperature inside the fridge is no longer very cold. I didn't want to buy a totally new refrigerator, so I called Sub-Zero and hoped they could provide a cure.

    They provided it, and in spades. Within ten minutes the repairman found what was wrong with the unit: the compressor needed to be cleaned and some wiring in the back needed to be replaced. These tasks he performed and completed within 20 minutes of time and had my fridge up and working perfectly which I hadn't seen in a long time. I'm not sure how much money I saved hiring and using Sub-Zero's repair service probably at least a thousand bucks on buying a new machine. But I am very glad I found them online and gave them a call. Their service is fast, efficient and very courteous, too. And I like hiring a repair service that knows what it is doing and gets it done quickly and done right.   • My fridge broke on Wednesday. I called ACME Sub-Zero Repair Service and they were able to send out Mark, a local tech that same day, actually 2 hours after i called. Mark was courteous and very careful not to damage our floors when he moved the fridge. He said he needed to order a part. He was back within 2 days and had the fridge working. I called this morning, the repair man(Mark I think) was scheduled to come between 4-6 he arrived at 4, called me 20 min before to let me know he was on his way.   • Exceptional service at reasonable prices, and we got on their schedule in less than 24 hours. A very reliable company that I would definitely recommend. Gary was our technician and he was great. He got our old Sub-Zero fridge working like new again - and in a hurry, while our food supply languished in a cooler. (It turned out the thermometer was broken, and we also needed a new water valve to the icemaker). Gary also helped troubleshoot what turned out to be a minor but annoying glitch with our Miele dishwasher, for which I was very grateful. Gary was prompt, pleasant, courteous, and conscientious. And he went the extra mile for us. For example, after he finished up, he took the time to pull the fridge out from the wall a second time double check his work when it looked like there might be a leak (there wasn't) - even though it was past quitting time at the end of the day, and even though that fridge is a bear to move. He also helped me clean out the filth that had accumulated under the fridge, which was truly beyond the call of duty. A really nice guy. My allegiances in appliance repair have shifted. From now on, I'm going to call ACME Sub-Zero Appliance repair whenever anything fails - stove, oven, you name it.

  • I'm not a mechanically inclined person. Yeah, I can rip apart a computer and figure it out, but a fridge is waaay out of my league. Seriously though, these guys are pros at what they do and I am really glad they were the ones who came to fix my Sub-Zero fridge a few months ago. First off, the tech Mark was right on time! He knew exactly what was wrong from what I had explained over the phone and how to fix it (the upper unit wasn't cooling but the freezer was still working for those interested.) He walked me through what he was doing as he was doing it, cheerfully answering any questions that I had and throwing a few jokes at me in between. He was there for about 45 minutes, cleaned up, and gave me his number in case any problems arose. Super professional service and excellent customer service are what these guys excel at, and they charged a really reasonable price for the whole thing as well.   • This is the second time we've called in their service men. The woman in the office is very lovely, and the servicemen are very polite, efficient, and trustworthy.
    It is really nice working with a company that you can feel comfortable using.
    They fixed our BOSCH washer a few months back, and it only took about 30 minutes.

  • I made an appointment online late Wednesday and ACME Appliance's Jemie called first thing the next morning and arranged a technician to come that day. The tech, Alex called and gave 20 minute notice and arrived on time.

Mark came afterwards and immediately identified the problem, fixed it temporarily so we wouldn't lose all our food, and came back promptly the next day with the replacement part to solve the problem.
    Very honest, friendly and fairly priced person.
    Hopefully we won't need him in the future, but if another appliance goes out on us in the future I have his number saved and would call him in a second.

  • Our Subzero freezer stopped freezing overnight and we woke up to food thawing and dripping all over the place. Of course, the entire fridge/freezer was full of food since I just went shopping. And, Murphy's Law, it was a Saturday. Sears had "first available" of Tuesday, and I had a fit. We found ACME on Angie's List website, called, and tech guy Dennis was here within a few hours. He was early, he repaired the broken piece, and he told us how to prevent future issues. His rate was less expensive (but competitive) than Sears too. Highly recommend his service. Thank you!   • After far too many years of neglecting to have our Sub Zero side-by-side serviced, I finally made a call when the fridge light went out. Come to find out, there was big trouble brewing under the hood, but Mark came to the rescue and replaced several shot parts, cleaned the condensers and grill, and reset all the temps, all just in the nick of time before everything overheated and the condensers themselves blew. I was shown where the all the problems were and Mark explained everything to me thoroughly. It wasn't cheap to fix, but I know the work is expertly done and is guaranteed. Guess I will be making sure to get regular service from now on. and when my Wolf stove needs repair, I know who I'm going to call. David Winsburg

  • We had a super experience with ACME Sub Zero appliance repair. Mark came out to check why our Sub Zero refrigerator wasn't working properly. I am a mom who keeps a healthy supply of milk in it, and he came immediately,
    trouble-shoot the problem and found and fixed the issue. He and his co-worker were very courteous and extremely professional. As an aside Mark gave me some great tips to help lengthen the life time of the fridge!

    Can't say anything but good things about this business; they are speedy, prompt and good at what they do. Rare quality these days. I have certainly referred ACME to anyone who has requested a repair person for home appliances.

  • The freezer fan in the refrigerator had been making loud noises for over a month--it was driving me crazy! I'm kicking myself in the behind for not calling ACME Sub-Zero Repair earlier.

    Technician Garry and his assistant were in and out with the quickness, replacing the fan motor before the ice cream melted.

  • Great, quick service. Tech Josh came (on time) and quickly diagnosed the problem with our busted Sub-Zero fridge. We had to shut it off overnight. He showed up the next day and fixed the problem.   • Very professional people who know what they're doing. I never thought getting a fridge repaired would be a nice experience. :-) Have an older Sub Zero side by side and the freezer broke. After doing research whether to buy a new one versus fixing and upgrading the fan, free-on, etc. I went with the repair. Gary was prompt and took the extra effort to ensure the proper OEM parts were installed and the built in setup was maintained post repair. A job well done. Hope this gives me years of care free refrigerator issues :)
